Some LGUs Declare Class Suspensions on Monday (November 18, 2024) Due to Super Typhoon Pepito

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units in the country announced class suspensions due to Super Typhoon Pepito.

PAGASA reported that Super Typhoon Pepito was spotted at 145 km west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur packing maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 160 kph.

The weather disturbance will continue to bring heavy to intense rains, which may cause flash floods and landslides in some areas.

Class Suspensions

On Monday (November 18, 2024), classes on all levels in both public and private institutions have been canceled in multiple areas to ensure the safety of student, teachers, and school staff. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation, with additional announcements possible as the storm progresses.

School administrators are also advised to use this time to prepare their campuses for any further weather impacts.
