The internet is going crazy about Mary Grace Piattos. Who is she?

MARY GRACE PIATTOS – A lot of people online have been talking about a person with this name and her connection with Vice President Sara Duterte.

Fake receipts? The House probe regarding the alleged misuse of funds by Vice President Sara Duterte. Last November 5, the House Committee on Good Governance resumed its hearing and this time around, yet again, OVP’s staff snubbed the proceedings.

In the same hearing, lawyer Michael Poa announced that he was resigning as Duterte’s spokesperson.

The House also discovered that the documents of the Php 23.8 million confidential funds in 2022 were “belatedly prepared”. This included the “bogus or spurious” acknowledgment receipts according to the records of the Commission On Audit (COA).

Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro also noted the unaccounted part of DepEd’s P150 million confidential fund from 2023.

“So, where is this amount now? In conclusion, I wish to believe that the confidential fund of the Department of Education was not properly recorded at its best, or misspent or misappropriated at its worst,” Luistro said.

Now, who is Mary Grace Piattos and the name’s involvement in the probe?

On various social media platforms, people online were talking about this person in one document. In an acknowledgment receipt, the name was reflected as the receiver dated December 30, 2022. To recall, the Office of the Vice President spent Php 125 million in confidential funds in the last month of 2022, even though the said fund was released only on December 13, 2022. 

The questionable document with this name was submitted to COA.

There have been a lot of discrepancies and irregularities in terms of spending the CIF as seen in the acknowledgment receipts and others.
