Lawmakers Call for VP Sara Duterte To Undergo Psychological Assessment
VP SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President expressed her openness to undergo a neuropsychiatric exam amid calls for psychological assessment.
Countless people reacted to the recent remarks of Vice Pres. Duterte against Pres. Marcos and the late former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. The statements came amid a souring relationship between the President and the Vice President.
Vice Pres. Duterte previously claimed that she and Pres. Marcos are not really friends and she will “never again” team up with the Marcoses in the future elections. According to her, she and the President only talked when they became running mates and they only talked about the campaign and work.
VP Sara Duterte claimed that it is really Sen. Imee Marcos who is her friend. However, countless people were shocked when Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that she told Sen. Marcos she will exhume and throw the remains of Marcos Sr. into the West Philippine Sea if the alleged attacks against her don’t stop.
Duterte also accused Marcos of not knowing how to be a president with a “one” rating when she was asked to rate his performance from 1-10 — 10 being the highest. According to the Vice President, she has never heard the Chief Executive speaking about solutions to solve the problems of the country or having a platform.
The Vice President also admitted to having ill thoughts against the Chief Executive which made her realize their their relationship has become toxic. Pres. Marcos has not spoken on the matter.
However, while the President and Malacañang remained silent, presidential son and Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos reacted to the remarks of Vice Pres. Duterte. He stressed that she has “crossed the line” and he hopes that she is okay.
There are lawmakers calling for Duterte to undergo a psychological assessment following her intense remarks against the Marcoses. Recently, VP Sara Duterte has given her side on the call based on a report on GMA News.
According to VP Sara Duterte, she is open to undergoing a “neuropsychiatric exam” but she also wants the aspirants for seats in the House of Representatives to take a drug test. Based on the report, the Vice President expressed her belief that the aspirants may be allegedly more unstable than her.
“Wala akong problema doon. Game tayo. I will call that—neuropsychiatric exam. As a voter I demand, magpa-drug test sila. Kayong lahat mga kababayan, you demand na mag-drug test ang mga congressional candidate dahil kung unstable ako, sa paningin ko, unstable rin sila,” the Vice President said.
