PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring cloudy to rainy weather over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (September 24, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA Weather Specialist Rhea Torres reported that easterlies will bring cloudy skies with rain showers over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
“Sa kasalukuyan pow ala po tayong binabantayang low-pressure area o bagyo sa loob at labas ng ating Philippine Area of Responsibility, samantala, patuloy naman ang pag-iral ng easterlies na nakakaapekto sa may silangang bahagi ng southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” Torres said.
The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.
“Kung makikita natin dito sa ating satellite image wala po tayong namamataan na makakapal na kaulapan na posibleng magdulot ng maghapon o buong araw na mga pag-ulan sa anumang bahagi ng ating bansa,” she explained.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“Sa mga susunod na araw asahan po natin na magpapatuloy itong generally fair weather conditions hanggang sa darating na Thursday. Pagdating naman po ng Friday may posibilidad na may mabuong low-pressure area may bahagi ng Eastern Luzon,” she added.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Southern Luzon, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
