CCTV Captures Delivery Rider Breaking Into & Escaping from House in Rizal
BURGLARY – A delivery rider was caught on camera breaking into and escaping from a house in Rodriguez, Rizal.
The suspect, who was found to be a delivery rider, allegedly also harmed a person inside the house during the incident in Rodriguez, Rizal. The incident was recorded on CCTV, revealing how the suspect climbed a light post to enter the home.
The break-in didn’t just involve theft, as the suspect reportedly harmed a woman inside the house.
The video shows the man arriving at the residence in Barangay Manggahan, wearing a white t-shirt. He used the nearby light post to access the second floor of the house. When he exited, he was no longer wearing his shirt, which he left behind as evidence.
According to the victim, the suspect not only stole her belongings, including a bag containing P3,000 and her IDs, but also assaulted her. She reported the incident to the police, who launched an investigation and identified the man as a delivery rider. His method involved scouting homes while delivering packages to potential targets.
The police, acting on a tip from the local community, discovered that the suspect had returned to the scene to search for his missing shirt. This led authorities to track him down in Barangay San Isidro, where he was arrested.
Although the stolen items were not recovered, the suspect’s t-shirt was found at the crime scene. He now faces charges of robbery and physical injury for assaulting the victim.
The recent incident shows the importance of community cooperation and the role of technology in solving crimes, as the footage played a key part in identifying the suspect.
