Lea Salonga made this decision for her social media page
Broadway Diva Lea Salonga revealed that she finally left Twitter, the micro-blogging social media site that is now called X.
Lea, just like many celebrities around the world, is using different social media platforms to connect with her fans. The singer-actress was quite active on Twitter and she even held #AskLea sessions in which she would answer questions from her fans.
Through this kind of interaction, her fans were able to know her more and be updated on the latest happenings in her career in the Philippines and abroad. On this social media platform, she would also share her thoughts on certain issues not just in the country but also internationally.
However, Lea Salonga chose to leave Twitter. In her post on her Threads account, the legendary theater actress wrote, “Finally left Twitter. And no, I will not stop calling it that.”
In the comment section of her post, her fans and social media followers supported her decision and welcomed her to this platform which is associated with the photo-sharing social media platform Instagram.
Some netizens that they already left Twitter, and they didn’t want it to call it with its new name X, a long time ago. On the other hand, Lea did not reveal the reason why she decided to leave Twitter.
Meanwhile, Lea Salonga is set to get her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore. Initial steps were made already to form her wax figure. Fans expressed excitement about this as for them, the singer-actress deserved to have her immortalized image because of her achievements that inspired many people.
In a video clip, Lea said that having her own wax figure is an honor and a privilege for her. The Broadway Diva also expressed excitement to share this with her fans.
