Is this post of Bela Padilla a clap back to a socialite’s “out of touch” video?
Famous actress Bela Padilla has an intriguing post. Is this her clap back to the controversial video of Cat Arambulo?
In 2020, socialite Cat Arambulo went viral for an insensitive statement she expressed in a video amid the pandemic. She was condemning those people who go outside to work despite the threat of the virus and netizens did not like it. Not everyone is as privileged as hers. Those people needed to go outside to work for survival.
Arambulo apologized for the insensitive statement she made and expressed that it was not her intention to undermine, hurt, and offend anyone.
This year, it looks like she did it again. In a video circulating online, Arambulo’s video inside a car with her children passed by in a flooded area and they were amazed. The flood was due to Typhoon Carina.
Her children were innocently amazed while she was heard asking her “yaya” if their floatie can be used there. She then continued, “I guess so, it’s just water.”
This did not sit well with many people online which prompted them to say that she was out of touch of the reality. They could not fathom the insensitivity in her words knowing how the flood troubled thousands of people while she was the lucky one in her own home dry and safe.
It appeared that this is also not something actress Bela Padilla particularly liked. In her new post, the actress aired her frustration at the remarks. People are putting their lives at risk and she was asking if they can use a floatie there.
She added that the moment could have been a nice moment for her to share some teachings to her children.
