Is it true that James Yap and Michela Cazzola are no longer together?
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared that a rumor has reached him that basketball player-turned-politician James Yap broke up with his Italian wife Michela Cazzola.
James and Michela have been together since 2016. It is known to many showbiz fans that James was previously married to Kris Aquino and they have a son named Bimby but their marriage was annulled in 2012.
The basketball player has two kids with his Italian wife. In a recent episode of Ogie’s Showbiz Update vlog, one of the topics that was discussed was the rumors about James and Michela’s separation.
Ogie Diaz shared that according to what has reached him, James Yap and Michela Cazzola broke up but he wanted the couple to answer this issue as well.
“May nakarating lang naman sa akin. Ewan ko kung nabalita na rin ito. At itatanong na rin natin kay James Yap para lang sure […] Gaano ba katotoo James Yap na wala na kayo ng iyong Italian wife?” the showbiz insider shared.
Ogie said that if this is true, it is saddening. However, according to the person who relayed this to him, it was said that James and Michela have a good co-parenting relationship now.
“Maganda naman daw ang relasyon nitong si James Yap sa kaniyang ex-Italian wife. Kumbaga maganda ‘yong kanilang co-parenting,” the talent manager-vlogger said.
Ogie’s co-host Mama Loi said that having a good co-parenting relationship is very important and that even though the relationship between ex-couples does not work, the children’s welfare should not be compensated.
As of this writing, James and Michela haven’t released a statement yet about their rumored breakup.
Meanwhile, the basketball player is now focused on his political career as a councilor of the 1st district of San Juan.
