Woman Who Visited Diwata’s Pares Stall Has Been Missing for a Few Weeks Now
DIWATA PARES – A woman has been missing for a few weeks now after visiting Diwata’s famous stall in Pasay City.
Pares, or Filipino braised beef stew, has taken over the street food scene in recent years as more and more foodies discover how delicious, accessible, and warm it can be. More pares stalls across the nation, such as Diwata Pares Overload, contributed to its growing popularity.
Over the past few months, Deo Balbuena, a.k.a. Diwata become one of the most trending personalities on social media because of his Pares overload. He serves delicious pares served with an endless supply of soup, rice, and water, along with a bottle of soft drink, all for P100.
Owing to its success, Diwata expanded her menu to include additional dishes including Sikenjoy and Diwata Pares Bulalo.
Recently, a 36-year-old woman from Cainta, Rizal went missing after meeting up with a friend she met on Facebook. The family and the police are still looking for her.
According to the Cainta police report, the missing woman, Dina Ancheta, was last seen by her relatives at around 11:25 pm on April 16, 2024 (Tuesday) after telling her sibling that she was just going to meet with her Facebook friend.
The next day, Dina supposedly updated her sibling that they were at a place called Diwata Pares Overload in Pasay City, but after that, she stopped replying to messages once she left home.
The missing woman mentioned she might leave the stall because of the long lines and go home.
The authorities say she was in a Toyota Vios sedan with license plate BAA-2196. They’re trying to figure out who the man is because even Ancheta’s family didn’t know she was meeting someone that day.
As of this writing, Diwata hasn’t said if he can help the authorities identify the man
