“The Tortured Poets Department” by Taylor Swift sets new records on Spotify.
American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift releases “The Tortured Poets Department” album that broke records in Spotify.
They say Taylor Swift’s vulnerability is her superpower and we could not agree more. It all started with her glorified diary entries that debuted in 2006 and we’ve heard her going through the things we went through from the exes we could not forget to the love that we thought is the one.
She’s gone through all that but those were artfully etched in her song lyrics. She’s the most famous and most successful musician we know, so far, who wrote about heartbreak, pain, and sorrow.
In her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department”, she sung the unique 21st Century anxieties from dating that millennials suffer now. A proof that despite being among the most successful world-famous musician, she’s still this 34-year-old woman who knows our pain all too well about the anxieties and pressures of settling down.
“The Tortured Poets Department” has 16 songs and what came as a big surprise right after that was another 15 songs to join the initial 16 through “TTPD: The Anthology”. The 31 tracks are the antithesis to “Lover” – the lyrics were given melody but wrapped inside it are heartbreaks and misery.
She described her new album as “new works that reflect events, opinions, and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time — one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure”.
Speaking about being sensational, Swift is now the most streamed artist in a single day and the most streamed album in a single day. Her “Tortured Poets” is also the most pre-saved album Countdown Page in the history of the streaming platform.
Meanwhile, Swift just took a break from her concert tour and among the famous personalities we love to attend the Eras Tour is Kathryn Bernardo. Ivana Alawi also attended one in Singapore with a fan and Anne Curtis graced the event in a bejeweled gown held in Australia.
