PAGASA Says Habagat & Localized Thunderstorms to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (July 1, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Habagat and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that southwest monsoon will be affecting the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon. Cloudy weather condition and rain showers are expected in these areas.

The Southwest Monsoon/Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency has warned the public for flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
