After eight years, James Yap and Bimby got reunited and the basketball player has this story about it.
JAMES YAP – PBA superstar James Yap reveals what he feels about reuniting with his son Bimby after a long time.
In a previous article, Queen Of All Media Kris Aquino revealed in a post that his son Bimby is trying to rebuild his relationship with his father basketball player James Yap. Bimb and James have not been in contact for many years.
As Bimb returns to the Philippines from the US, one of his plans is to meet up with his father and fix their relationship.
“From the time Bimb was 8, he had the freedom to decide… now at 16 I told him- ‘when someone reaches out after 7 years, and there’s a chance for PEACE, then everyone WINS’,” Kris expressed in her post.
James’ reunion with his son was the best Father’s Day gift for him.
In a talk with Dolly Carvajal, James expressed his thoughts about the reunion but his columnist friend did not entirely reveal what happened. However, she did share the message her ‘migo’ sent to her about the reunion.
He said in the message:
I’m super happy to hear from Bimb after eight years. I’ve been praying for this day to come. Na-miss ko sobra si Bimb! It’s the best Father’s Day gift ever. He said that he is looking forward to seeing his brother MJ again and meet his sister Francine soon. He wished me luck in my new career as a public servant.
MJ and Francine are Yap’s children with his partner Michela Cazzola as per the post.
Kris is proud of her son for “rebuilding his relationship” with his father and she was glad that Bimby made the move on Father’s Day. He was reluctant at first but after some time, Bimbby got the courage to make the first move.
She believed that what she went through growing up fatherless is something that Bimby should not go through. She would not make Bimby go through the same thing.
To recall, Kris and James had a civil wedding in 2005. Two years later, they welcomed Bimby. In 2010, they got separated and in 2012, their marriage was terminated legally.
