Vic Sotto Admitted He Has No Plans to Retire from Showbiz
Veteran comedian and TV host Vi Castelo Sotto, known professionally as Vic Sotto admitted he has no plans to retire.
Vic Sotto Says He Has No Plans to Leave Showbiz? This was one of the questions posed to him during the press conference for the product he was endorsing. Vic even managed to crack a joke, claiming that 80 is the new retiring age.
“Ang senior ngayon 80 na ha hindi 60. Sabi mo nga, marami akong nagawa, marami akong natulungan… ang sagot ko lang dun, marami pa. Marami pa akong magagawa, marami pa akong matutulungan, marami pa akong mae-entertain. Retirement is… malayo, malayo sa isip ko,” said Vic.
Vic’s name recently made headlines due to what was supposedly revealed by his brother and fellow Eat Bulaga former Senator Tito Sotto. The salary is supposed to be Php40 million, which was not immediately provided to Vic, but he recently acknowledged that he had been paid.
Vic Sotto is most recognized for his role as one of the major hosts of the long-running noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga!” since 1982. Vic Sotto began his career in show business as a folk singer and guitarist. He eventually moved into acting and became well-known in the 1980s for his humorous parts in several films.
He is regarded as one of the most powerful figures in Philippine showbiz, with a sizable fan base. Vic Sotto is married to fellow actress Pauleen Luna, with whom he has a daughter. He has four children from past partnerships as well.
