Ogie Diaz Reacts To “Fake News” Comment On Issue About Dennis Trillo & Jennylyn Mercado

Ogie Diaz talked about the recent issue that was brought up on his YouTube channel

Talent manager-vlogger Ogie, also the host of the Showbiz Update YouTube show, reacted to the “fake news” comments they received after sharing what their source revealed about Kapuso couple Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado.

To recall, in a previous episode of Ogie’s show, he read what a source shared with him. It was about Jennylyn and Dennis. According to his source, the actress is not on good terms with Dennis’s parents, and she was not allowing him to visit them.

The actor defended his wife and asked the public not to drag his parents into the showbiz issues. After Ogie shared this about the Kapuso couple, he received negative reactions.

In a recent episode of his YouTube show, based on the article in Bandera, Ogie Diaz said that it is not their first time receiving the “fake news” accusation.

Noon pa naman lagi kaming pinagbibintangang fake news mula pa nu’ng naghiwalay ang KathNiel,” Ogie said, referring to the tandem of former couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

His co-host, Mama Loi, added that when they share a story on their show, they have sources, and that they are always open to whoever wants to speak or make clarifications.

Saka hindi naman natin sinasabing confirmed iyon, unless it is,” Ogie said. He mentioned some comments saying that they are destroying the reputation of Dennis’s family.

“Actually, binasa lang namin ‘yung (mensahe) at hindi rin para sabihin ang aming source. Ganu’n po magprotekta ng source,” the talent manager-vlogger explained. Mama Loi spoke again and pointed out that they just read what their source shared, which goes to show that they did not invent it.

Ogie also stressed that they would not have known about this if there had been no one who told them. He even said that two sources told them about this.

Then, the talent manager-vlogger shared that Becky Aguila, Dennis, and Jennylyn’s manager sent him a message. He read the message and said that he understands this because he is also a talent manager.

It is part of their job to take care of and protect their talents. “So hindi kami naghahasik ng fake news, sana nga fake news ito para alam natin na wala talagang ganu’n nangyari,” Ogie Diaz stressed.

He also said that Dennis reached out to him and sent a message regarding the issue. Ogie said that it was pretty much what he said in his statement posted on his social media page. The talent manager-vlogger added that his source stood by the story previously shared.
