Female Passenger Nearly Missed Licensure Exam After Famous Airline Canceled Her Flight
A female passenger lambasted a famous airline for nearly missing her licensure exams due to a canceled flight.
A disgruntled passenger Maki Van Eker recently took to social media to express her frustration and disappointment with Cebu Pacific.
Eker recounts the initial flight cancellation three weeks prior, which almost jeopardized her board exam preparations. Cebu Pacific informed them that the next available flight was scheduled for May 5, 2023, a day after the exam.
Despite the urgency of the situation, the airline could only offer a late evening flight on May 2, 2023, which was not a viable option due to the early morning exam on May 3. Left with no choice, the passenger reluctantly accepted the offer, only to discover that her aunt managed to book them an available flight the following morning at a significantly higher cost.
The passenger expresses her frustration at the airline’s practice of canceling flights for customers who had booked months in advance, only to resell those seats at a higher price to individuals facing emergencies or time-sensitive situations.
Adding insult to injury, the passenger arrives at the airport well-prepared, with an early online check-in and a boarding pass in hand, only to be informed at the bag drop counter that their flight has been canceled once again.
This time, they are given a new flight date of May 26, 2023, a significant delay that raises concerns about the airline’s ability to meet its customers’ travel commitments.
The passenger’s frustration and disbelief are palpable, as they question how the airline can repeatedly subject paying customers to such inconveniences within a span of just three weeks.
The passenger’s interaction with the airline’s staff at the counter further adds to their frustration. The counter personnel dismissively claim they have no authority to address the situation, leaving Maki in a state of helplessness and despair.
