Sen. Pia Cayetano Reacts To Accusations against her for Explaining Law
PIA CAYETANO – The Senator-Judge denied the accusation amid the ongoing impeachment trial that she is allegedly “mayabang” over the law.
The Cayetanos undeniably hooked attention in the past few weeks. The Senate has been the center of controversy and both Sen. Pia and Sen. Alan were among the senators who are vocal about their side on every incident.

Sen. Pia Cayetano even went viral on social media when she admitted that she was hurt after none of their colleagues from the other bloc allegedly checked on them following the firing incident inside the chamber. The said incident took place when her brother, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, was the Senate president.
Later, Malacañang and Pres. Bongbong Marcos tagged the said firing incident as allegedly “fake”. Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa left the Senate premises amid the height of the incident.

There were also a number of instances when senators Pia Cayetano and Risa Hontiveros exchanged heated statements during a Senate session. The said moments earned the two (2) lady senators both support and criticism.
Recently, veteran actress Gloria Diaz expressed her side against Sen. Pia Cayetano after the Senator denied that she’s allegedly being sensitive. According to Diaz, Cayetano’s voice is allegedly irritating.
“You are KSP! Your voice is irritating grabe dapat ikulong itong taong ito! Madrama! Ugh,” the veteran actress said.

Recently, through a social media post, Sen. Pia Cayetano defended herself from claims that she is allegedly bragging on her knowledge about law. She stressed that they have no intention to make the process hard.
“Wala namang intensyon na gawin na teknikal na pahirapan. ‘Yung bilin naman ni Daddy talaga is well ‘yung kanyang practice mismo is ipaliwanag ang batas. ‘Yun ang job natin,” the Senator said in a video with Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano.

Sen. Pia Cayetano revealed that she did not intend to be a lawyer as she wanted to be a teacher or a chiropractor but she takes the job as her “calling”. According to her, she will share her knowledge regardless of how little it can be.
“I really take my job seriously. And if you look at my track record, sabi nga nila, ‘Ang yabang mo’. Hindi ho ako mayabang but it is my job, it is my God-given job to share whatever talent I have. May mas magaling sakin magpaliwanag, I’m sure. May mas matalino sakin, I’m sure din,” Cayetano said based on the post.
Previously, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro asked Sen. Pia Cayetano how she is amid her alleged gasping for breath when she’s speaking at the trial.
