Alleged Addict Elicits Criticism for Beating Passenger Inside Public Jeepney
An alleged addict believed to be under the influence of drugs was caught on camera assaulting a passenger inside a public jeepney.
Recently, a Facebook user named Sukdanan sa Kamatouran shared a video showing the alleged drug user attacking a passenger inside the public utility vehicle. The post quickly went viral and drew numerous reactions from the online community.
In the video, a shirtless man believed to be under the influence entered a passenger jeepney and immediately began assaulting one of the passengers. The attack shocked everyone inside the vehicle and created a dangerous situation.
An elderly passenger bravely stepped in and tried to stop the man from hurting the victim. Despite several attempts to calm him down, the attacker refused to stop and continued acting aggressively.
The older passenger eventually pushed the man out of the jeepney in an effort to protect the other passengers.
However, the trouble did not end there. The man repeatedly tried to get back inside the jeepney so he could continue attacking the passenger. The video also appeared to show him carrying a plastic bag that allegedly contained rugby.
The incident caused fear among those riding the jeepney. A female passenger could be heard screaming in panic, while others were visibly shaken by the unexpected violence unfolding before them.
The jeepney driver eventually drove away from the area, forcing the disruptive man to leave the vehicle behind to prevent further harm. It finally brought an end to the frightening encounter and allowed the passengers to continue their trip safely.
Many netizens praised the elderly passenger for stepping in and helping protect the other passengers during the incident.
