Cristine Reyes made a revelation about her current boyfriend
Actress Cristine Reyes revealed that she turned down her now-boyfriend, Gio Tingson, back when they were in grade school.
Cristine caught the attention of the online community last year when she was spotted with the former National Youth Commission (NYC). This came after her breakup with actor Marco Gumabao.
One sighting led to another and they became more visible together in public. Cristine even visited Naga City and met Mayor Leni Robredo.

In a recent interview on the podcast of celebrity siblings Isabelle and Ava Daza, Cristine revealed that she already knew Gio back when they were elementary.
“You know what? Siya ang unang-unang lalaking nanligaw sa akin. Grade school kami nun,” Cristine Reyes revealed.
Back then, Cristine was not used to being in the company of boys, since she was studying in an all-girl school. She also revealed that she tried courting a girl who was in high school when she was just in Grade 6.
“May mga crushes pa ako na girls. Hindi pa ako ano sa boys nun! Grade six ako nun, e. Promise! Nanliligaw pa ako ng babae before, ha? Alam mo yung Blue Magic na [store] ng stuffed toys? “Nanligaw ako, bumili ako ng malaking-malaking bear para sa isang high school, grade school ako nun,” the actress shared.
When she was invited to attend Ateneo’s school fair, she was put in a marriage booth where she married her batchmate and Gio was the one who stood as the priest.
“So doon kami nagkakilala, and then after nun, shy na ako. Alis ako agad. Little did I know, hinanap niya ako sa buong campus.Tapos hiningi daw niya yung number ko. Hindi ko na maalala. Siya lang nagpa-remember sa akin,” Cristine revealed.

The actress shared that when she was asked her name she said “Agent Orange” becuase she was wearing an orange shirt at that time, and the song Agent Orange by Slapshock was popular back then. After that, Gio courted her.
However, Cristine turned down Gio and she chose the other guy from La Salle. “So hanggang ngayon, meron siyang bubog sa akin,” the actress shared.
Then, Cristine said that she told Gio that they were not really meant back then because they are meant to be together now.
The actress also admitted that she used to fall in love with guys with bad boy image because she thought that was a norm back then. She realized later on that she has a father figure in her life which possessed the admirable quality in a man.
“I told you it’s the first death anniversary of my foster dad today. I have that background na lumaki ako sa isang lalaki na sobrang mapagmahal. So, parang feeling ko, now that I’m mature enough na, parang sabi ko, ‘Sandali, I remember when I was young, gusto ko ng someone like my dad,’” the actress said.
In the same interview, Cristine Reyes shared the struggles she had in her past marriage. She revealed that she insisted on marrying her former partner Ali Khatibi just because she got pregnant. The actress had to pretend to have a happy family because she did not want to be judged by the public.
