Yasmien Kurdi stood by her daughter
Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi and her husband, Rey Soldevilla, filed a complaint with the Department of Education (DepEd) against the former school of her eldest daughter, Ayesha Zara.
In December 2024. Yasmien cannot help but get emotional when she talks about the alleged bullying her daughter experienced.
For Yasmien, Ayesha’s former school failed to protect her daughter, who allegedly suffered bullying from her classmates.

A few days after her revelation, Colegio San Agustin (CSA) firmly denied the allegation of bullying involving Yasmien’s daughter.
Based on the article in PEP, Yasmien Kurdi and her family took legal action regarding the alleged bullying incident. She shared that it was Ayesha herself who wanted them to file a complaint.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Yasmien posted on her social media account her thoughts after the Department of Education (DepEd) heard their complaint.
“We are deeply grateful to Atty. Ade, Atty. Paeng, Atty. Rej, and Atty. Jojo for their unwavering support and guidance to our family. And to all my professors in law school, thank you for your advice and guidance. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to DepEd Secretary @sonnyangara, Mrs. Tootsie Angara, and Ms. Fatima for their support and concern,” Yasmien shared in her post regarding what they did at the DepEd office.
The Kapuso actress emphasized that this is not just about her child, but also about other children who are experiencing bullying. She pointed out that children should be protected.
Yasmien also said in her IG post that last year, upon their daughter’s request, they formally filed their complaint with DepEd with complete and factual evidence.
The actress also stressed that Ayesha’s parents, she, and her husband will always stand by her and protect her.
“This is not just about one child, it is about accountability! Under the Anti-Bullying Act (R.A. 10627), schools are required to act, and when they fail, DepEd has the authority to investigate and impose sanctions,” Yasmien Kurdi stressed.
She also thanked DepEd for listening to them and encouraged students and parents to speak up if this incident also happened to them.
