Sen. Robin Padilla Defends Atty. Rowena Guanzon’s for Supporting VP Sara Duterte for President
ROBIN PADILLA – The Senator asserted that former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is allegedly “dilaw” as well as the PDP-Laban.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has announced that she will run for president in the 2028 Elections. According to the Vice President, she has also requested someone to be her running mate but she refused to reveal the identity of the person.
Duterte claimed that the person she allegedly talked to last year to be her running mate has yet to decide. She kept the identity of the person to protect him/her while there is still no final decision about the upcoming elections.
The announcement of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to run for president in 2028 gained different reactions. According to Duterte, four (3) senatorial candidates in the upcoming national polls have allegedly reached out to her.
However, according to Duterte, she is “allergic” from politicians now. Recently, former Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner and lawyer Rowena Guanzon declared her senatorial bid in 2028.
Guanzon who was a staunch support of former Vice President and now-Naga Mayor Leni Robredo in 2022 also expressed her support to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. She believes that Duterte allegedly has the biggest chance to win the presidency.
Atty. Rowena Guazon supporting Vice Pres. Sara Duterte did not sit well with some of the supporters of ‘yellow and pink’. Recently, Sen. Robin Padilla who is another staunch ally of the Duterte family stressed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and his PDP-Laban are allegedly “dilaw”.
Through a post on social media, Sen. Robin Padilla recalled former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s alleged appointment by the late former Pres. Corazon Aquino as the officer-in-charge vice mayor of Davao City following the ouster of former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

In his post, Sen. Robin Padilla also claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte allegedly became the mayor of Davao in 1988 under the banner of the Lakas ng Dabaw coalition allied with the Lakas ng Bansa of the Aquinos.
“Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is presently the chairman of PDP Laban.
PDP Laban is the original dilaw!” the Senator wrote.
Recently, amid the impeachment raps against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Sen. Robin Padilla chided the government officials who are pushing for impeachment.
