Robin Padilla Saddened After Failing to Celebrate Duterte’s Special Day
ROBIN PADILLA – A heartfelt message from Robin Padilla revealed the reason behind his absence during Duterte’s birthday celebration.
Senator Robin Padilla expressed regret over missing the opportunity to celebrate the 81st birthday of former President Rodrigo Duterte, also known as FPRRD, during his recent visit to The Hague in the Netherlands.
In a video shared on his Facebook account on Saturday, March 28, Padilla was seen outside the detention facility of the International Criminal Court, where Duterte is currently being held. The actor-turned-politician appeared somber as he explained why he could not stay longer to mark the special occasion with the former leader personally.

“Hindi po ako nakapagtagal sa Netherlands para muling makapagdiwang ng Iyong kaarawan sapagkat ako po ay pinauwi ng aking opisina,” said Robin.
Padilla revealed that despite receiving numerous invitations to join birthday-related gatherings for Duterte, he had to prioritize his duties and return to the Philippines. His responsibilities as a senator required his immediate presence, particularly due to pressing global concerns.
“Kinakailangan po ako ngayon na naka antabay sa biglaang pagpapatawag ng Senado kung tuluyang iigting pa ang digmaan sa Gitnang Silangan,” Robin said.
The senator emphasized that his decision to leave was not easy, especially given his close ties and respect for Duterte. His absence from the celebration was marked by a sense of longing and disappointment, as he had hoped to personally extend his greetings and show his support.

Despite not being able to celebrate in person, Padilla ensured that he conveyed his heartfelt message to the former president. He ended his video with a warm birthday greeting that reflected both admiration and affection.
“Maligayang ika 81 Taon ng iyong kapanganakan tatay digong!” said Robin.
Padilla’s message resonated with many supporters, highlighting his loyalty and continued connection with Duterte even amid challenging circumstances abroad.
