VP Sara Duterte’s Office Cancels Events in July
SARA DUTERTE’S OFFICE – The Vice President announced that her office is implementing “cost-cutting measures” amid the soaring prices in the Philippines.
Countless Filipinos are affected by the ongoing war in the Middle East which resulted to soaring oil costs in the country. The Philippines is heavily-dependent on imported oil, thus, the current situation in other countries is impacting it.

The Strait of Hormuz, a waterway that is vital for oil shipments, is currently open to international shipments but with restrictions. Tehran banned the vessels linked to the United States and Israel after the two (2) countries attacked Iran.
U.S. Pres. Donald Trump previously gave Iran a 48-hour ultimatum for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz. According to the American President, they will blow up the powerplants of Iran if it won’t do it.

Iran remains close towards negotiations with the United States. On Trump’s warning, Iran threatened back saying it might fully close the passage in the Strait of Hormuz.
Amid the Middle East war, the pump prices in the Philippines have increased thrice bigtime already. Many Filipinos are struggling now due to the high oil costs in the country. Recently, amid the struggles of the people, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte issued a video message detailing the efforts of her office amid the situation.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s office is implementing cost-cutting measures to ensure that the funds go to the people. The Vice President also announced that the OVP’s campaign for educational reform extends school supplies to students.

“Nagpapatupad din kami ng mga cost-cutting measures sa loob ng aming tanggapan upang matiyak na mas maraming pondo ang mapupunta sa direktang tulong sa taong-bayan,” the Vice President said.
The bus of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s office also offers free ride for the commuters in Metro Manila, Bacolod, Cebu, Tacloban, and Davao. Furthermore, according to the Vice President, the Mag Negosyo ta ‘Day program will continue to help small businesses.
“Ang Tanggapan ng Pangalawang Pangulo ay patuloy na nagsasagawa ng mga programa na noon pa man ay nakatuon nang tumulong sa inyo na makatipid at makaraos sa araw-araw,” Duterte said in her video message.

Aside from the programs and efforts of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s office amid the soaring oil costs in the Philippines, the Vice President also called on the public to prioritize enough food for the family, medicine for the sick, and education for the children amid conserving resources.
“Ang pinakamabisang panlaban sa krisis ay kahandaan. Simulan na nating planuhin ang ating mga hakbang hanggang sa katapusan ng taong 2026, kasama na ang pagharap sa posibleng pagkawala ng trabaho, patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng pagkain, at risk reduction measures laban sa epekto ng matinding init at mga pagbaha sa ating kabuhayan,” the Vice President added in her video message.
