DONALD TRUMP – The United States President gave Iran 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz or they will attack the Iranian energy facilities

The war among U.S., Israel, and Iran has left to several deaths including the demise of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to U.S. Pres. Trump, he decided to attack Iran to allegedly stop the country from acquiring nuclear powers and supposedly destroying the world.

Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump previously warned Iran of a much harder attack if it will disrupt the global oil flow. The American Leader also claimed that the Iranian country is allegedly not ready to end war.

On the part of Iran, it warned the world to prepare for oil to be at $200 per barrel. An Iranian official claimed that they were talking with the United States when the Americans attacked them so Iran does not see any reason to talk with U.S. They placed restrictions with regards to the passage in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Strait of Hormuz is a vital passageway for nearly 20% of the global oil supply. Iran closed it amid the ongoing war with U.S. and Israel. Currently, it is open but not for American and Israeli vessels.

Recently, based on a report of News5, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. According to the U.S. President, if the Iranian government refuses to do so in two (2) days, they will face U.S. military strikes targeting Iranian power plants.

However, it has reportedly escalated tensions in the Middle East and Tehran vowed to retaliate against U.S. and Israeli energy infrastructure. Based on the report, the U.S. President threatened to start blowing up with the biggest power plants in Iran.

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz towards U.S. and Israel has affected the global markets. Oil prices surged and stock exchange got sharp declines. Amid the Middle East war, the Philippine Peso even fell to a historic low depicting the Philippine economy’s vulnerability amid the situation.

Some analysts believe that the prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz can possibly bring energy crisis around the world. Global markets reacted immediately and resulted to the surging of oil prices and sharp declines in stock exchanges. Analysts warn that prolonged closure of the strait could trigger a worldwide energy crisis, while regional military escalation risks drawing in other powers.
