Amid the Ongoing Middle East War, Marcos Jr. Looks for Other Oil Suppliers
MARCOS JR. – The President assured the Filipinos that the government continues to look for ways to help the people amid the impacts of the Middle East war.
Iran warned the globe about the cost of oil hitting $200 per barrel. The warning of the Iranian government came after the United States and Israel launched airstrikes against Iran that killed their leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, as well as several other government officials and civilians.

The ongoing war in the Middle East is affecting several other nations including the Philippines. In PH, the pump prices had bigtime oil price hikes — two to count since the US, Israel, and Iran war began.
Countless Filipinos are affected by the soaring prices of oil in the Philippines. Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, Malacañang previously advised the Filipinos not to engage in panic buying.

According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, while she totally understands the act of preparing, there is no need for panic buying as there are enough supplies of food and oil in the Philippines. She also warned that there will be consequences for those who will take advantage of the situation.
Furthermore, Castro stressed that what Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wants is for the Filipinos to help each other amid the challenging situation. According to her, the gasoline stations that are supposedly trying to get ahead of others will be investigated.

Marcos Jr. previously said that there is enough supply of food and petroleum in the Philippines. According to the President, there is no need for hoarding as the country’s supplies are on a normal level.
Recently, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured the Filipinos that the government continues to exert efforts in finding ways to help them amid the ongoing war in the Middle East. He admitted that the oil costs cannot be anticipated.
“So, we are trying to find different methods para makapagbigay ng subsidy, para makapagbigay ng tulong. The problem is masyadong malikot ang presyo ng langis. Hindi natin ma-anticipate. So we are still adjusting right now,” the President said based on a report of PhilStar.

Furthermore, based on the report, Marcos Jr. stressed that the government is also securing the oil and food supplies. According to him, the country has enough supply with regards to oil and food.
“Ang binabantayan na lang natin ngayon ang presyohan. Sa pagkain, mas marami tayong magagawa. Naghahanap kami ng paraan pa para ibaba ang presyo ng pagkain,” he expressed.
Amid the soaring pump prices in the Philippines, Pres. Bongbong Marcos decided to postpone the fare hike in the country.
