Malacañang previously claimed that the Marcos Jr. administration is confident that the 2026 national budget is “cleanest and most proper” spending law passed. Amid the questions, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro claimed that those who have questions on the national budget may file their complain before the Supreme Court.

“Confident po sila na ang ginawa ngayong budget ay ang pinaka malinis, pinakamaayos na ginawa para sa taumbayan,” the Palace official said.

Recently, amid the ongoing war in the Middle East which is also affecting the Philippines because of the soaring oil prices, House Speaker Bojie Dy made a call for the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in front of the House members. “The members of this chamber are ready and willing to pass the laws and provide the funds for the programs necessary to address the needs of our countrymen.

Furthermore, House Speaker Bojie Dy also claimed that it will allegedly not matter even if a good budget was passed if the resources will not reach the people on time. According to him, a law that is not implemented remains a paper with no value.

Kahit po maganda ang naipasang budget, it will mean nothing if the resources for the people do not reach them on time,” the House Speaker said.

Based on the post, House Speaker Bojie Dy called on the DBM to do their work and act fast in the release of the funds. The chief of the House of Representatives also asked the department not to waste the time of the people.

Amid the Middle East war affecting the oil prices in the Philippines, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that there is no need to hoard as the country has enough food and petroleum supply.
