AI AI DELAS ALAS – A surprising proposal moment caught on camera left netizens buzzing, but Ai Ai delas Alas quickly clarified the truth behind the viral clip.
Comedy Queen Ai Ai delas Alas pushed back against rumors claiming she is already engaged following her separation from Gerald Sibayan after a viral video from a recent event spread across social media.
The video, which circulated widely on Facebook, showed a man seemingly proposing to the actress during a gathering. In the clip, the man could be seen kneeling in front of Ai Ai while holding a ring box. A tarpaulin behind them also displayed the words “Will You Marry Me?”
The moment looked convincing to many viewers. The man even placed a ring on Ai Ai’s finger and kissed her on the forehead. The actress appeared delighted during the moment as their companions at the table recorded the scene.
The viral post that shared the video also fueled speculation with a caption that read, “Ang Tanging ina nyo… Mula nang ma byuda sa Tatlo nyang Papa… may nag Propose na naman??? Totoo Ba???”
While some netizens were quick to congratulate the actress and the man in the video, others criticized her and left negative remarks. Some even mocked Ai Ai, saying she supposedly learned nothing from her past relationship and that she was once again entertaining a younger man.
Because of the harsh comments directed at her, the comedian did not stay silent. She called out one particular basher on social media and shared screenshots of the person’s profile along with the offensive remarks.
“Sobra naman ako pag salitaan ng @MiggsFun na ito sa instagram. di marunong rumespeto ng babae. paki bash nga ito pls. nakaka inis,” she wrote.
Ai Ai later addressed the viral issue through a video message shown on the Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update vlog, where she clarified that the supposed proposal was only part of a playful moment during the event.
According to the actress, the man in the video is not her fiancé. She explained that the actual marriage proposal happened at a nearby table, and the moment involving her was only done for fun.
“Nakakatawa nga kayo eh, ang dami n’yong mapapait na salitang sinasabi sa akin, walanghiya, hindi ko nga alam pangalan ni Kuya eh, sa comment ko lang nakita na Alvin pala pangalan niya,” she said.
“Please lang, huwag n’yo na ‘kong husgahan ha? Huwag n’yo na akong… kung ano-anong sinasabi n’yo na wala akong kadala-dala, hello!” she added.
In November 2024, Ai Ai confirmed that Sibayan ended their marriage through a text message, saying that he no longer loved her and wanted to have a child.
