Bong Suntay became a trending topic because of his viral statement
Quezon City Representative Bong Suntay was featured in this series of posts featuring the past issues about him.
These posts came after his viral remark on Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis, which was tagged “malicious.” The congressman received criticism online, as netizens attacked him for what he said about the female celebrity.
Anne’s younger sister, actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and several celebrities also expressed negative reactions to the politician’s remark.
Following this issue, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte urged Cong. Bong Suntay to apologize to Anne Curtis. Prior to this, the lawmaker stood firm that there was nothing wrong with what he said about the actress.
Amid this controversy, X (formerly Twitter) account @DeusXMachina14 shared a series of posts about the past issues that involved Suntay.
A tweet stated that 24 years ago, Suntay faced criminal charges for hitting the former boyfriend of his wife with the bottom part of his handgun. At that time, Suntay was serving as councilor of the third district of Quezon City. According to the report, Suntay also fired his gun inside the house of his wife’s former boyfriend.
Then, the social media page shared screenshots from an article that was published back in February 2024. That was the time when Bong Suntay, along with Bullet Jalosjos were linked romantically to showbiz personality Dominic Roque.
It was alleged back then that Dominic’s condominium unit was from Jalosjos, while Suntay allegedly gifted him with a franchise of a gasoline station.
Suntay and Jaloslos clarified that the three of them have been friends for more than a decade now, and they were bonded by their love for motorcycles. They are members of the motorbike-loving group called Euro Monkeys, which also has celebrities Dingdong Dantes, Kim Atienza, and Richard Gutierrez as members.
