Authorities Arrest Teacher & Seaman After Engineer Husband Catches Them Inside Lodging House
A married online teacher and her seaman partner were arrested after they were caught inside a lodging house in La Paz, Iloilo City.
On the afternoon of February 27, 2026, an engineer husband caught his wife with another man inside a lodging house in La Paz, Iloilo City.
The woman, identified as Lyn, 37, works as an online teacher. Her companion, Junjun, 30, from Roxas City, Capiz, is a seaman. The complaint was filed by Lyn’s husband, Bugoy, 40, a civil engineer currently working in Dubai. He is a resident of Pavia.
According to La Paz police chief PCapt. Gimel Acuesta, the husband called the 911 hotline and asked for help after he followed his wife and saw her enter a lodging house with another man. Police officers quickly responded to the call.
They coordinated with the management of the lodging house and were allowed to enter the room where the two were staying.
During questioning, Lyn admitted that she met Junjun only in January 2026 and that it was just the second time they had seen each other in person. Junjun told the police that he was in the area to process his documents at the Marina office.
He said Lyn picked him up and brought him to the lodging house. The vehicle used by Lyn to fetch Junjun was reportedly a property shared by her and her husband.
Both Lyn and Junjun are now detained at the La Paz Police Station, though they are being held in separate cells. The seaman reportedly blamed the online teacher for what happened, saying she introduced herself to him as single and available.
It was learned that Lyn and Bugoy have a 12-year-old child. The incident has left many people saddened, especially considering the family involved and the effect on their young child.
