Award-winning actress Eugene Domingo proudly shared the lessons she has learned about love as she prepares to celebrate a special milestone in her marriage.
The seasoned actress opened up about her reflections on love as she and her Italian husband, Danilo Bottoni, get ready for their 10th wedding anniversary. In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Eugene spoke candidly about what love truly means to her after years of marriage.

“What I know about love for sure is that it never ends in romance, everyday is a work that is voluntary because your faith and your love means I am committed to this until the day I die. That is what love between husband and wife is,” Eugene said in his interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
She emphasized that love is a conscious decision made every single day. “I loved him from the day I realized I love him and I have to love him until I die.”
Eugene also could not help but praise her husband for his patience and unwavering faith. “Danilo is a man of strong faith and his patience is immeasurable. You cannot imagine being married to an actress. It’s a disaster, everyday is a drama. A small instance that you will give an actress a chance to be a dramatic queen she will use it to some extent, hanngang manalo siya sa argument. My husband is so patient,” Eugene proudly shared.
It can be recalled that in 2023, the actress shared with Karen Davila how she first met Danilo at the Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy in 2014. Her film “Barber’s Tales” was one of the entries in the festival at the time, while Danilo was working as a film critic.

Eugene admitted that she was already 40 years old then and felt it was impossible to find a life partner, even considering entering a convent. Everything changed when she met Danilo.
“Finding him is really a miracle and the miracle is from God,” said Eugene.
Danilo, in the same interview, described their love story as something that developed gradually, beginning in Italy and continuing through long-distance dating via Skype.
“It was a slow process because we started talking every week on Skype for two to three hours I think and then we met again in Italy just the two of us in a very nice place in the place where my mother lives,” said Danilo.
Danilo eventually proposed to Eugene through Skype. The couple tied the knot in 2016.
