Executive Sec. Ralph Recto Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos Following Recent Hospitalization
RALPH RECTO – The Executive Secretary revealed that he also had diverticulitis twice before and cited that he recovered.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. previously spent a night under medical observation as he experienced discomfort. According to the Palace, the Chief Executive was advised by his doctors to rest and be under monitoring. He was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro previously assured the public that Marcos Jr.’s condition is fine and he is back in the Palace. The President was represented by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto and Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos in some events.
Amid the rumors that Pres. Bongbong Marcos will allegedly undergo an operation, the Palace stressed that the Chief Executive was currently having a meeting then and there was no word about the rumors. Recently, Atty. Claire Castro assured the public again that the health condition of Marcos Jr. is well.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos also previously spoke through a video message revealing that he was diagnosed with diverticulitis which he associated with stress and aging. The said condition refers to the inflammation or infection of the small pouches in the colon wall. He chided at those who are eager to oust him not to be too excited as he feels better.

Recently, Atty. Claire Castro said the doctors of Pres. Bongbong Marcos advised him to rest so his engagements are limited within the Palace. Today, he was represented by Executive Sec. Ralph Recto at the Gawad Lingkod Bayani awarding event.
In a chance interview, E.S. Ralph Recto claimed that it is only natural for doctors to tell Pres. Bongbong Marcos to take a rest. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, he stressed that the President only needs a little rest “just like any other normal individual”.

Executive Sec. Ralph Recto also revealed that was also diagnosed with diverticulitis. Based on the report, he claimed that he went through the said condition twice last year and he had “down time for a week for each episode”.
“So now, I am fully recovered. And I think in the next few weeks, the President will be fully recovered,” Recto said.
Recently, the Palace also spoke on the impeachment complaints filed against Marcos Jr.
