Raymart Santiago answered the accusation from Claudine Barretto
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto accused her estranged husband, actor Raymart Santiago, of being involved in the alleged kidnapping of her children.
On Saturday night, January 24, 2025, Claudine stated on her Facebook Live that her personal assistant, Marisol Acap, kidnapped her children.
After giving an ultimatum to her PA, the actress mentioned that there was a person behind this. She stated, “Nanay ako ng mga anak mo,” which was an indirect reference to Raymart, and that he wanted her to go crazy or be dead.
In an episode of Kapuso afternoon showbiz talk show, Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the King of Talk shared an update. He said that, according to their source, who is close to Claudine Barretto, the children were returned on the same Saturday night after the ultimatum.
Tito Boy also shared the statement from the legal counsel of Raymart Santiago debunking the allegation from his estranged wife.
“There is no truth to any allegations made by Claudine Barretto, both in the past and recently,” Raymart’s lawyers stressed. The actor’s camp also pointed out that he has nothing to do with the supposed kidnapping of his children with Claudine if this incident really happened.
Raymart’s lawyers added that their client refused to say anything about this matter, with reference to the gag order issued by the court that is still in effect.
“Our client respects the court and has faith that justice and truth will prevail in time,” the actor’s legal counsel stated. Raymart Santiago’s camp also asked Claudine Barretto to “refrain from weaponizing her influence,” including her social media platforms, to discredit the name and reputation of anyone, especially her estranged husband.
The King of Talk shared that they asked for Claudine’s side, but there was no reply from her camp. As of press time, the Optimum Star has yet to release a statement about the actor’s defense.
