An issue about Janella Salvador surfaced on social media
Kapamilya actress-singer Janella Salvador received accusations that she is being “tamad mag-promote.”
Janella started in the entertainment industry as a teen star. She is the daughter of singer-actress Jenine Desiderio and singer Juan Miguel Salvador.
From doing supporting roles, Janella was able to receive offers for lead roles. She also had some stints in her career in music.
Recently, negative reactions against her surfaced on social media. Reddit user @AvocadoFair2124 under r/dailyChismisPh shared a recent experience with Janella.
The netizen pointed out that Janella became a topic online after the intriguing statement of Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda about celebrities who are “tamad” to promote.
To recall, Vice commended their guests, actresses Beauty Gonzalez and Kris Bernal, for their energy and playfulness during the show, which was far different from what other celebrities had shown while promoting their project on the noontime show.
“Napansin niyo ba na biglang naging topic si Janella Salvador after nung sinabi ni Vice Ganda sa Showtime tungkol sa mga artistang pumupunta lang for promo pero tamad at walang effort? Ang daming nag-comment agad na baka siya raw yun,” the netizen on Reddit started.
Then, the netizen shared what happened during the Dinagyang festival in Iloilo. According to the netizen Janella, and other stars of What Lies Beneath were there to promote their show.
It was said that other celebrities went down of the stage to have photos with the audience and shake their hands, as part of fan service.
However, the netizen said that this was not the case when Janella was the one performing.
“Si Janella naman, sabi wala raw siyang voice kaya isang kanta lang kinanta. Tapos sira daw sapatos niya kaya di siya makababa. Okay naman, valid reasons naman. Hindi rin naman ako pumunta para sa kanya specifically. Pero parang napa-“hmm” ka na lang,” the netizen shared.
The netizen added that, unlike Janella, Kapamilya actors Jake Cuenca and JM de Guzman took an effort to mingle with the fans, and their energy was high. With this, the netizen could not help but think that Vice Ganda’s statement about “tamad” celebrities.
