Carla Abellana announced that she is looking for work
Kapuso actress Carla Abellana clarified that she is not on leave and is actively seeking new work opportunities.
Carla married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Reginald “Reg” Santos, in an intimate garden ceremony on December 27, 2025, at Almond Garden Tagaytay. The actress opted not to share details about this, and many fans were surprised that the wedding ceremony had actually taken place, as previous rumors had claimed.
On the other hand, the couple received messages of support, especially for Carla. It is known to many showbiz enthusiasts that her previous marriage to actor Tom Rodriguez in October 2021 was dissolved by divorce in 2022.
It is a common occurrence for the couple to go on vacation after the wedding for their honeymoon. However, in the case of Carla Abellana, she is willing to go back to work immediately.
Based on the article in Inquirer, on the Instagram Story that Carla shared this Wednesday, January 21, 2026, she expressed her readiness to entertain project offers
“Hello! Just to put it out there, I am not on leave nor will I be on leave anytime soon. I am ready for work anytime. Ehem ehem. Looking and been waiting for work,” she wrote in her post and included a grimacing emoji. The Kapuso actress did not elaborate on her post.
Currently, Carla has no regular show on GMA, her home network. The last TV series that she did was Widow’s War, which aired from July 2024 to January 2025.
She was included in the Metro Manila Film Festival (2025) entry, Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins. However, she was not able to attend the Gabi ng Parangal on December 27, 2025, because that was also her wedding day.
Meanwhile, Carla Abellana shared her thoughts on the various reactions that her slab wedding cake received. She shared that it has been a trend in the West, and for her, this was convenient because they were able to feed their guests.
