The flood control corruption accusations against Marcos Jr. were cited in the impeachment complaint filed against him. His alleged illegal drugs use was also cited as one of the grounds over the claim that the President allegedly committed betrayal of public trust.

To recall, it was his very own sister, Senator Imee Marcos, who accused PBBM in front of thousands of Filipinos of allegedly using illegal drugs. The presidential Sister called on the President to go home and get some treatment.

Following the filing of an impeachment complaint against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, a lawmaker claimed that Cong. Sandro Marcos, being the House Majority Leader, allegedly has “no choice” but to process the impeachment complaint against his father. Bukidnon Rep. Jonathan Keith Flores said the presidential Son supposedly has not much leeway over the matter.

According to Flores, the rules on impeachment proceedings mandates the referral of a verified impeachment complaint to the House Committee on Justice, The lawmaker further stressed that the procedure really requires that after the matter is included in the order of the business, the complaint has to be referred to the committee on justice within three days.

So even if he is the Majority Leader and even if the impeachable officer that is complained of is his father, wala siyang magawa,” the Bukidnon Congressman said.

Amid the issue, based on a report on Inquirer, at least two (2) lawmakers already saw the impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr. as allegedly weak. As for Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte, he warned “Tambaloslos and Bangag Jr.” over the people’s judgment as he believes that the impeachment complaint is allegedly to divert public attention.
