Comedienne-actress Rufa Mae Quinto remembered her late husband, Trevor Magallanes, on their anniversary in an IG post.
In 2024, it was reported that Rufa Mae Quinto and Trevor Magallanes were processing a divorce. To recall, Quinto and Magallanes got married in 2016, then welcomed their daughter in 2017.
In December 2024, Trevor and Rufa were undergoing the divorce process; however, it did not push through because in July 2025, Trevor died. The death of Trevor Magallanes shocked many, but as per Rufa, there was no foul play in his untimely passing.
There were reports that he died because of a heart attack. According to his brother, Jesse Magallanes, several members of their family have suffered the same fate—passing away at a young age due to heart attacks, a condition that runs in their family.
Recently, in a post, she reflected on her life now. According to her, shortly after they became an official couple, they immediately tied the knot, and since then, they have been inseparable. She loved that chapter in her life where she embraced her life as an ordinary citizen.
They were hands-on parents, but as she looked back at her life from her current life now as a celebrity again, she had nothing but gratitude to him for giving her Athena, their daughter.
“Salamat for giving me Athena , kitang kita ko ang Lahat ng Ikaw sa kanyang mga mata , ugali, tawa, mukha, smile, magsalita, kamay , Boses , kuko, Lahat na,” she wrote. She can see the resemblance between the two of them, and although she misses him physically, she knows that he is just around, watching over them.
“Patuloy mo akong alalayan sa mga pangarap natin para kay Athena , Paano pa lakihin sya ng Masaya , mabait, matalino, cute, funny. . Healthy wealthy way to go go go!” she added.
