Beauty queen Melanie Marquez reveals the mistreatment she endured and suffered from her husband in an interview.
During her interview with the King of Talk, Boy Abunda, on his Kapuso program, Melanie Marquez revealed that she had previously written to the Bureau of Immigration requesting the cancellation of her husband Randy “Adam” Lawyer’s visa and that he be placed on the blacklist.
This is due to the allegations of abuse.
There have been a series of unfortunate incidents that she suffered from physical abuse, which she also endured for years, until she spoke up.
“Natutulog ako, Tito Boy, magkatabi kami. ‘Tapos, akala ko napanaginipan kong may sumuntok sa akin. But then, naalinpungatan ako. Parang nakita ko siyang nakatingin sa akin tapos sinuntok n’ya ako,” she shared. Her husband quipped that he didn’t know what because he was dreaming.
However, after an examination, she found out that her eardrum had been damaged.
She reported the incident and obtained a protective order. He was required to move out, yet despite his actions, he was the one who reacted with anger. He did not recognize his own wrongdoing, as per Marquez’s words.
According to Melanie, even before this incident, she had already experienced being threatened at gunpoint by her husband due to problems in their business. It was so bad that he was compelling her to solve his company’s problem.
Melanie also recounted what happened to her in October 2025, when she was allegedly hurt again by her husband after an argument, resulting in a fracture to her third rib. With all that had happened, she remained firm in her letter to the immigration office to have Adam’s visa canceled and to have him blacklisted in the Philippines.
“I don’t want him to come back here,” she quipped in the interview.
