This is why the exact MMFF 2025 earnings will not be released.
MMFF 2025 EARNINGS – Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) spokesperson Noel Ferrer revealed why gross will not be released.
There were reports about the unofficial box office results of MMFF 2025, and topping the list on the first two days was Vice Ganda’s film Call Me Mother. Apart from this film, Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins and UnMarry also emerged as among the top performers based on audience volume, ticket queues, and information despite a lack of official figures.

However, despite these reports, MMFF spokesperson Noel Ferrer debunked them, as the committee refrains from disclosing them, as doing so could affect the films’ performance in cinemas.
Ferrer clarified this in a statement that this is part of the agreement with the producers, “to mitigate the bandwagon effect that may potentially impact the performance” of the official entries. He then encouraged the public to support all films as a show of solidarity with Philippine cinema.
“Instead, we encourage the public to experience and support ALL THE FILMS showcased in this year’s MMFF, thereby demonstrating your unwavering love and appreciation for the Philippine film industry. Since we’re still in a long holiday, we eagerly await your presence in our cinemas,” he said.
