Here’s what Tom Rodriguez said about his recent achievement as an actor
Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez shared his thoughts on winning the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 Best Supporting Actor Award.
Tom has been in the industry for many years already. He has done various Kapuso shows and movies as well. During the Gabi ng Parangal on December 27, he achieved a new milestone in his acting career.
He received the Best Supporting Actor trophy for this year’s film festival. He got the recognition through his role in the movie Unmarry, featuring the tandem of Kapamilya stars Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo.

After the awards night, Tom Rodriguez shared a post on his Instagram page. He emotionally expressed his gratitude for this unexpected blessing.
He said that he didn’t even think he would get a nomination, let alone win. The actor is still processing what happened.
“I honestly didn’t expect the nomination last night, much less the win. In the rush and emotion of the moment, I missed thanking a few people who are deeply integral to my work process,” Tom wrote in the caption of his post featuring his photo holding his MMFF trophy.
Through his role in Unmarry, many fans considered that this was one of the actor’s finest performances of his entire career. He previously admitted that his role was emotional and difficult to handle.

Tom also gave special thanks to his handler and personal assistant, whom he called his “safety net.”
“Because of you, I get to jump wholeheartedly into my roles, knowing everything off camera is handled with care. Your quiet consistency is a gift I never take for granted,” the Kapiso actor said.
Tom Rodriguez was also thankful to his family and “to everyone who continues to show up for the work.” In the comments section of his post, the actor received messages of support from his fans, friends, and colleagues.
