Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Expected Before 2025 Ends

DOE Says Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Expected on Tuesday (December 30, 2025)

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Various gasoline stations in the country are expected to implement mixed oil price adjustments before 2025 ends.

As 2025 comes to a close, motorists should prepare for another round of fuel price changes, with diesel expected to see the biggest increase. Government and industry sources say the final fuel adjustment of the year will likely bring mixed results.

Early monitoring of international oil prices suggests that gasoline could see a slight rollback of P0.50 per liter, while kerosene may post a small increase of P0.10 per liter. Diesel might increase by P0.40-P0.50.

However, the projected prices do not yet include added business costs such as freight and other premiums shouldered by oil companies.

Several global factors such as tensions involving major oil-producing countries, including stricter sanctions and ongoing conflicts affecting oil facilities are influencing fuel prices.

At the same time, the world is dealing with an oversupply of oil and softer demand now that holiday travel is slowing down. These opposing forces are keeping price movements from becoming too sharp.

Mixed Oil Price Adjustments

Fuel prices in 2025 have generally trended higher than the previous year. Diesel and kerosene, in particular, are on track to record total increases of more than twenty pesos per liter. Still, these overall increases are not always felt at the pump.

Competition among gas stations, especially in busy areas, often leads to lower prices through discounts and price matching.

Oil companies are expected to announce the official price changes at the start of the week, with new prices taking effect the following day. For now, drivers are advised to stay alert, compare prices, and make the most of stations offering better deals as the year ends.
