“Unmarry” actress Angelica Panganiban said that the actress who could pull off a ‘Rubi’ role is Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza.

During an interview on a podcast, she was asked about this, and according to her, the one actress that she feels would be perfect for the role is Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza. For her, the GMA star could be the next “Ang Bidang-Kontrabida,” a moniker she was famous for being hated as an antagonist and loved as a protagonist, at the same time. Â
Forteza is one of the best and most successful actresses of her generation. Panganiban expressed that after seeing her range in “Kontrabida Academy,” she saw how good she was at pulling off comedy and drama. She was impressed by the younger actress’s talent.

Panganiban said, “Napanood ko kasi yung ‘Kontrabida Academy,’ nagalingan ako kay Barbie Forteza. So, isa siya sa pwede kong pagpasahan. Parang kaya niyang bumakla, kaya niyang magpatawa din. Magaling siya mag-drama.”

Meanwhile, Panganiban’s comeback film, “Unmarry,” is among the official entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025. According to reports about the MMFF 2025 box office results, her film is among the top three that grossed the highest during the first day of showing.
