13-Year-Old Boy Loses His Life After Delay in Providing Oxygen Support at Hospital

A 13-year-old boy in Ozamiz City lost his life after a delay in providing proper oxygen support at a hospital.

A grieving mother is mourning the heartbreaking loss of her 13-year-old son in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental, after what she believes was a delay in providing proper oxygen support at a hospital.

The incident has raised concern, especially among parents who fear the safety of their children during medical emergencies.

According to the boy’s mother, her son was already struggling to breathe due to his illness when their oxygen tank ran out. The young patient is visibly gasping for air, clearly fighting to breathe as his condition worsened.

The mother said every second felt heavy as she watched her child suffer while waiting for help that did not come immediately.

The mom shared that instead of urgent action, they were told by a nurse to stay calm so the child would not feel more anxious. While the intention may have been to ease the situation, the family felt helpless and distressed, knowing that their child urgently needed oxygen. The delay added to their fear as they saw his condition continue to decline.

The woman also expressed disappointment over what she described as poor treatment and lack of sensitivity from some hospital staff. She felt that their concerns were not taken seriously enough during a critical moment.

For a parent watching their child struggle, the experience was painful and emotionally draining.

Not long after, the boy passed away due to complications from his illness. His death left the family devastated, especially his mother, who believes the outcome could have been different if proper support had been given on time.
