Ogie Diaz is ready to support the Bam Aquino-Risa Hontiveros tandem
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz is now pushing the possibility of Sen. Bam Aquino running for president in the 2028 elections with his running mate, Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
Ogie has been very vocal about his political stance. He supported the tandem of former Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan in the 2022 elections.
However, Ogie’s tandem did not win, but he continued supporting them. For the 2028 elections, the talent manager-vlogger already has his “bet.”
Based on the article in Bandera, Ogie Diaz is willing to support the Bam Aquino-Risa Hontiveros tandem.
The talent manager-vlogger expressed his thoughts on this after he congratulated Sen. Bam for pushing the P1.38 trillion budget allocation for the education sector.
“Husay ni Sen. Bam Aquino. At walang bahid ng corruption. Talagang ang edukasyon ang gusto niyang manalo,” Ogie said in his post.
Due to indications that former Vice President and Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo will not run for national office, Ogie said that Sen. Bam should run for president and Sen. Risa should be his running mate.
To recall, the former Vice President was asked about her plan in the 2028 elections, as her supporters are pushing her to run for president once again.
The Mayor said that she just wanted to remain in Naga City. “Kung ayaw na ni Mayor Leni Gerona Robredo tumakbo, baka pwede si Bam. Tapos, si Senator Risa Hontiveros ang kanyang running mate, ay nako, sama ako ng sampu diyan!” Ogie Diaz said.
He also stressed that the Philippines needs officials who love the people, serve without enriching themselves, and do not treat public office as a family business. Ogie added that the country does not need someone noisy and curses.
