Amid the Corruption Issues in PH, Zaldy Co Releases Part 2 of Claims vs. Marcos Jr., Romualdez
Zaldy Co confirmed the claims of Orly Guteza against former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and tagged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. anew.
Countless Filipinos reacted to the recent claims of Co while he has yet to return to the Philippines amid the massive corruption allegations against him. He is one of the then-government officials who were tagged in the flood control mess in the country.
Co was already in another country when the accusations against him broke out. Controversial contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya were the first ones to implicate him in the alleged kickback scheme in the flood control projects of the government.
Recently, Zaldy Co claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez were allegedly behind the multi-billion budget insertion in the 2025 national funds. According to him, an alleged order from Marcos Jr. instructed him to insert P100 billion for the different projects.
Zaldy Co also released a list of the projects that were allegedly part in the P100-billion budget insertion ordered by Marcos Jr. According to the resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative, he was supposedly instructed to stay out of the country prior to the flood control issue breaking out,
Co claimed that he did not expect that he will be the “poster boy” in the government’s fight against corruption. Recently, he released a part two of his claims. He mentioned Orly Guteza, his former aide who testified against him and Romualdez during a Senate flood control hearing.
Based on his post, Zaldy Co confirmed that Orly Guteza’s claim that they supposedly delivered suitcases filled with millions of money to the residence of former House Speaker Martin Romualdez in North Forbes Park and South Forbes Park as well as the delivery in Malacañang.
“Yung mga deliveries ay mayroong record ang aking mga tao. Totoo ang sinasabi ni Orly Guteza na nag-deliver siya sa Forbes Park. Totoo din ang sinabi ni Guteza na nag-deliver siya sa Malacañang noong siya ay nasa Senado,” Co said.
Zaldy Co also claimed that he allegedly did not take any flood control money. Based on his post, he claimed that all the budget insertion allegedly go to Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
“Walang pera napunta sa akin, lahat ng insertion napunta sa ating Pangulo at Speaker Martin Romualdez,” the former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative said.
Following his first claims, Malacañang immediately spoke on the corruption accusations of Zaldy against Marcos Jr.
