Kapuso Actor Anjo Yllana Expresses Admiration on Duterte
ANJO YLLANA – The former Eat Bulaga host claimed that he is now ready to run for senator and he wants to be part of the “Duterte bloc”.
Anjo, a former Parañaque vice mayor, sparked headlines on social media after he issued tirades against some government officials including Senate President Tito Sotto and Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. He accused the Senate Chief of allegedly have an illicit affair with another woman.
According to Anjo, he will reveal the alleged “mistress” of Sotto, his former co-host in the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga, if the Senate President will not show proof that his salary is being donated to the scholars. It was Sotto’s campaign promise to give his salary as senator for the education of the poor students.
Senate Pres. Tito Sotto showed no interest on the claims and challenge of Anjo Yllana. He wants to raise the “level” of the Senate President and prefers not to give in to the remarks of his former co-host in Eat Bulaga.
However, Anjo Yllana also threw criticisms against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. He stressed the alleged facial deformation of the President when he speaks and claimed that the public is allegedly aware about it. He called on Marcos Jr. to undergo a hair follicle drug test.
While Marcos Jr. has always been mum on the calls for him to undergo a drug test, Malacañang reacted to Anjo Yllana’s claim and asked him who is he to demand from Marcos Jr. According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, the President will not pay attention to him.
Previously, Anjo Yllana also admitted that he is thinking about running for senator. According to him, many of his followers on social media want him to take a chance for a Senate seat. He even claimed that some of his followers even want him to run for vice president or president but he is not taking it seriously.
According to Anjo, if he wins as senator, there is allegedly one less corrupt government official in the country and another honest senator. He claimed that he really wants to curb corruption. Based on a post on social media, the actor claimed that he is “ready” to take the senatorial race.
Based on the post, Anjo Yllana claimed that he has thought about running for senator for a long time already. According to him, if he runs for a seat in the Senate, he wants to run under the “Duterte bloc”.
“Handa na ako. Matagal ko nang pinag-isipan ito. Kung bibigyan ng pagkakataon, gusto kong tumakbo bilang senador sa ilalim ng Duterte bloc. Naniniwala ako sa kanilang prinsipyo at pamumuno, at sa paniniwala nilang dapat inuuna ang tao, hindi politika,” the actor-turned-politician said.
Based on the post, Anjo claimed that he is not a “trapo” or a traditional politician. He claimed that it is the alleged system that he wants to change in the Senate if he wins as senator and he also wants to change the supposed culture of politics and self-serving interests.
Previously, following his accusations against the Senate President, Anjo Yllana claimed that his statement against Senate Pres. Tito Sotto was allegedly a “bluff”.
