Actor-Politician Anjo Yllana Speaks on Desire to Run for Senator amid Doubt on PH’s Current Direction
ANJO YLLANA – The actor-politician took a swipe against the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Anjo, a former host of the long-time GMA-7 noontime variety show Eat Bulaga as well as a former Parañaque vice mayor, recently caught the attention of countless netizens with his statements. He threw tirades and accusations against some high officials in the government.
Previously, Anjo Yllana threw criticisms against Pres. Bongbong Marcos and challenged him to undergo a hair follicle drug test. He claimed that the public is allegedly aware why the President is supposedly having some facial deformations when speaking.
Marcos Jr. was mum on the claim of the actor-politician. It was Malacañang which asked who is Anjo Yllana to demand for a drug test from the President. Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro claimed that Marcos Jr. will not pay attention to him.
Recently, Anjo Yllana also revealed that he is thinking about running for senator. According to him, some of his followers allegedly urge him to run for president or vice president but he is not taking the calls seriously.
The actor-politician claimed that if he wins as senator, it would allegedly be one less corrupt official in the Philippine government and another added honest senator in the Senate. He claimed that he really wants to end corruption in the country.
Based on a post, Anjo Yllana claimed that he has long thought about running for senator and he is ready for it now. According to him, he does not trust the direction where the country is heading under the leadership of the Marcos Jr. admin.
According to Anjo, he can see a lot of flaws and the Marcos Jr. admin allegedly has many promises but few results. Based on the post, the actor-politician stressed that he wants to be part of the solution on the problems of the country.
“Marami akong nakikitang mali. Ang daming pangako pero kaunti ang resulta. Ayokong manood lang. Gusto kong maging bahagi ng solusyon. Hindi ako takot magsalita, lalo na kung para sa bayan,” he expressed.
Amid his revelation about his political desires, Anjo Yllana claimed that he wants to run for senator under the Duterte bloc if he will be given the chance.
