According to the boy, he was separated from his family when the strong current hit their home. His father and younger sibling were carried away by the flood, and he could only watch helplessly as they disappeared from sight. He survived by clinging to a floating piece of wood until rescuers found him.

The locals who found him, including Bangoy and his housemates, immediately took him in and made sure he was safe. For security reasons, they chose not to reveal his full identity, referring to him only as “Alyas White.”

The boy is now under the care of his aunt, who has been by his side since the rescue. His story has touched countless hearts online, with many people expressing grief and offering to help him start anew.

The video has a caption:

“Story of Alyas White’s survival in the flood that Tino brought to La Castellana. Let’s build a fence. This is not the end of all of you. There is a reason why God gave you life so that you can continue. You’re sad and painful about the situation you’re going through but I hope that there will be a lot of people who will support you. God is the first”
