Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga Speaks on Fatalities in Cebu Following Typhoon Tino’s Wrath
KIKO BARZAGA – The Cavite 4th District Representative blamed “Marcos and Romualdez” over the deaths in Cebu following the impacts of Typhoon Tino.
The death toll of Typhoon Tino in Cebu has reached past 100. At least 92 deaths were recorded in Cebu which experienced its worst flooding in history while at least 13 fatalities were logged in Negros Occidental in which some parts also experienced flooding.
#TinoPH brought heavy rains in Cebu that caused dams to overflow. The floodwater level rose high living only the roofs of the single-storey houses visible. Countless netizens had no choice but to climb their roofs.
Aside from the massive flooding, strong winds brought by Typhoon Tino also torn countless homes leaving many families homeless. Currently, search and rescue operations are ongoing and countless families have to stay in evacuation centers.
Recently, amid the search and rescue operations in Cebu due to the wrath of Typhoon Tino, Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga blamed “Marcos and Romualdez” — seemingly referring to President Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker and Leyte Cong. Martin Romualdez. He is a staunch critic of the administration.
Through a post on social media, Cong. Kiko Barzaga claimed that no one will allegedly die in Cebu if “Marcos and Romualdez” did not supposedly steal. He stressed that “corruption kills our citizens”. He also called for the imprisonment of the President.
Cong. Kiko Barzaga previously sparked abuzz after he showed a document that was allegedly an impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr. He wants him jailed over alleged betrayal of public trust due to the flood control issue in the country. Here’s his recent post:
Barzaga was previously linked to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte but the Vice President claimed that she only met the young Congressman during the UniTeam campaign rally in Cavite. According to her, then, only the Congressman was for the UniTeam as his parents were for her only.
