Update on Typhoon Tino’s Death Toll amid Ongoing Search & Rescue Operations
Typhoon Tino’s death toll has reached 92 in the province of Cebu and at least 13 individuals as of this writing in Negros Occidental.
Severe tropical storm Tino has passed the provinces of Cebu and Negros. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) raised signal no. 4 in some areas in Palawan as Typhoon Tino entered the locality wherein it also brought heavy rains and strong winds.

In Cebu, countless families lost their homes to the typhoon that brought massive rains and strong winds. Countless cars collided and even piled up as the floodwater reached the roof-level of single-storey houses. Many residents had to climb their roof for their safety.
The strong winds destroyed many homes in Cebu and a lot of families are now taking shelter in evacuation centers. Typhoon Tino unfortunately made a very tragic history for the province.

The severe tropical storm did not only caused massive damages to properties. It also led to the loss of lives amid the massive flooding that it triggered and the situations like the ripping off of trees and roods. Typhoon Tino’s death toll continues to rise amid the ongoing search and rescue operations.

- 16 — Compostela
- 9 — Cebu City
- 9 — Danao
- 9 — Mandaue
- 7 — Talisay
- 1 — Consolacion
- 6 — Balamban

In Negros Occidental, based on a post of The Visayas Daily Star on Facebook, the Typhoon Tino’s death toll has reached 13 as confirmed by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson. Based on the disclosed information, the following death counts were recorded in these areas:
- 4 — La Castellana
- 2 — Murcia
- 3 — San Carlos
- 3 — Bago
- 1 — La Carlota
Based on the post, Gov. Lacson said that most of the deaths were due to drowning in floodwater and being pinned by fallen trees. Amid the Typhoon Tino’s death toll reaching 13 in Negros Occidental, currently, 31 persons are still missing.
While the wrath of the storm severely-devastated Cebu the most, the tragic impact that the Typhoon Tino brought in La Carlota and other cities in Negros Occidental were also captured in photos.
