PAGASA – Typhoon Tino makes 7th landfall in Palawan, while another potential super typhoon may enter PAR on Friday (November 7, 2025).
On Wednesday (November 5, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Typhoon Tino will continue to affect the country’s weather condition, and another storm is expected to enter the country’s vicinity.
PAGASA reported that Typhoon Tino maintained its strength as it continued to threaten northern Palawan after making landfall in Batas Island, Taytay town.

Tino has maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. Heavy rainfall, severe winds, and storm surge are still expected outside the landfall point.
The typhoon will continue to traverse northern Palawan before emerging over the West Philippine Sea. Tino is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility Wednesday evening or Thursday early morning (November 6, 2025).
A gale warning was raised over the western and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon and the seaboards of Western Visayas.

Meanwhile, another potential super typhoon is expected to enter PAR on Friday (November 7). It was last spotted at 1,830 km. east of southern Mindanao, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of up to 70 kph. It moves at 20 kph southeastward.
“Malayo pa naman po ito, wala pa naman itong direktang epekto sa anumang bahagi ng ating kalupaan ngayon,” Galicia said.
It could intensify into a tropical storm and severe tropical storm in the evening. “Based on the projection, it is possible to enter our PAR by Friday evening to Saturday morning, and once it enters PAR, we’ll name it Typhoon Uwan,” she said.
