Emman Atienza Has This Last Post Expressing Pain From Online Hate

Here’s the last post of Emman Atienza after experiencing online hate.

Kuya Kim Atienza’s daughter, Emman Atienza, passed away at the age of 19, and here are some last posts she shared due to online hate.

Emman Atienza, aged 19, was the daughter of Kim Atienza and Felicia Hung‑Atienza. She was found dead in her home in Los Angeles, and according to the records from Los Angeles County, the cause of Emman’s death was ligature hanging.

Her family released a statement, confirming her sudden passing: “It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman. She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her.”

The death of Emman was tragic and saddened many people. She was so young, and there was a full life ahead of her. Emman was known as a mental health advocate. But sometimes, those who carry the most light to share with others are also those who carry the most burden. According to her family, she had been carrying a mental health issue before the tragic events occurred.

Before her death, some of her posts about online hate were unraveled. While her last Instagram post did not reflect any signs of her struggles, another account told a different story.

On her platform with a lot of followers, she shared how much online hate had affected her. It all started well when she began sharing her journey, but while her following grew, hate also grew, coming from the people online who only knew the surface of what she went through.

She wrote, “Every time I post, I feel excited but also anxious and dreadful knowing there’s going to be some hate I’ll have to force myself to ignore. I catch myself checking my notifications every few minutes, hyper aware of every little thing about me.”

According to her, she became an online influencer for self-expression. She even expressed this to a lighthearted joke, “Maybe I’d put up with the hate knowing I’d be receiving a paycheck at the end of every month.”

She just wanted to be authentic and proud when she started TikTok, but the hate piled up, causing her self-conflict about whether to deactivate. She ended up deactivating to “recollect my thoughts, reset my values, and clear my head of the dread.”
